The cross-disciplinary aesthetic education project held the "Hsinchu Seed School Curriculum Collaboration Meeting" at Xinglong Elementary School in Hsinchu on March 19. The project co-host Professor Chen Yunwen, the member of the teacher training cooperation university Professor Chen Mengheng, and the Hsinchu City Government's Traditional Education Counseling Group Chen Qiaoli Counselors attended the meeting together, guided exchanges and preparations through the World Café, and spent a brainstorming and fruitful afternoon with seed schools in the Hsinchu area.
Dahu Elementary School in Hsinchu City uses a school-based curriculum model and combines the local characteristics of Xiangshan to lead students to conduct off-campus field trips and wetland beach cleaning, and develop the results into postcards. The Experimental Primary School Affiliated to National Tsing Hua University integrates humanistic care and environmental education, leading children to paint on dirt walls that are usually easily ignored, recreating the beauty of real living spaces, and re-inspiring children's five senses. The private Dawn Girls' Middle School in China uses idiom stories as materials to allow students to create paper-cut animations from scratch, and further uses film materials for secondary creation, bringing a different color to students' junior high school life.
Xinglong Elementary School in Hsinchu County takes truth, kindness, and beauty as the main themes of its curriculum, and combines local Shuizhen culture and information technology to allow children to learn about clothing and sound and light design, and finally presents the results in a Shuizhen catwalk. Neiwan Elementary School in Hsinchu County has rich firefly resources. It allows children to serve as campus guides, develop comics and installation art, and enable children to understand local natural resources. Similarly, curriculum development is based on the natural environment. Taiping Elementary School in Hsinchu County leads children to actually observe bird ecology, integrates environmental issues, and transforms the results of observations into cultural and creative products and theatrical performances. National Judong High School combines earth science and visual arts, and applies aesthetic design and layout to the "notes" used by students every day. It uses a combination of graphics and text to strengthen and assist the learning of subject knowledge. This collaboration meeting is the first one held in the Taozhumiao area, and will be held in Miaoli and Taoyuan in the future to promote regional exchanges and cooperation.
