On April 30, Professor Chen Qingxiu from the Department of Visual Arts and Professor Chen Hongling from the Department of Music of Chiayi University collaborated to organize the "Acting·Drama-Cross-disciplinary storytelling and performance enhancement workshop and seed school exchange and sharing session" in Chiayi University. The event gathered in Chiayi Regional seed school teachers, Jia teachers and students, and other school teachers who are interested in the project.
In the morning of the event, Professor Zhang Liyu from the Department of Drama Creation and Applied Studies at Tainan University was invited to lead a cross-disciplinary drama lecture workshop. Professor Liyu introduced the concept of storytelling theater in the workshop and led participants to experience the creative process of storytelling theater through a series of related experiential activities and actual performance video viewing.
In the afternoon of the event, Chiayi Girls' High School, Yuan Chong Elementary School, Guangrong Elementary School, Yushan Junior High School, and Chia University Affiliated Elementary School took turns to take the stage to share the implementation experience and results of the cross-domain beauty project. Chiayi Girls' High School's "College Music and Dance Exhibition" is implemented in the special study courses of the dance class. It combines Chinese, English, visual arts, music, and dance to train students' reading skills, learn independent thinking, and expression skills, and enhance their ability to express creative ideas. Yuanchong Elementary School's "Colorful Colors - "Imagine the World with Clothes"" curriculum uses visual arts, Chinese language, Alishan Railway culture and other elements to inspire students' perception of beauty. The "Day Study of Love and Beauty in Donghouliao Church" of Guangrong Elementary School takes visual art as the core and connects information, society, Hokkien and other fields, and uses a mixed-age teaching method to lead students to explore the connection between themselves and their hometown. Yushan Junior High School's "Exploring Craftsmen" course combines visual arts, geography, citizenship, and history, starting from local industries, and guides students to conduct interviews with local craftsmen. Students use photography, sketching, and text to record local industries in the form of postcards. . The curriculum of "Wood City Crossing Beauty" in the primary school affiliated to Chiayi University is based on visual arts, incorporating immersive English and day-reading of Chiayi's forestry culture, and uses a phenomenon-based inquiry teaching model to lead students to discover the beauty of Chiayi's local forestry.
At the end of the event, there was a comprehensive discussion. All participating teachers shared their teaching experience in the education field with each other. They learned from each other and gained a lot from teaching together.
