Music teacher Xie Cuiling introduced the musical characteristics of the Coffee Belt region, starting from Africa and arriving in Southeast Asia through Latin America. She used existing musical instruments to allow students to experience the percussion pulse of African golden cup drums, the repetitive style of Indonesian gamelan and the passionate Latin music of South America.
