Cross-field creative arts and aesthetic courses at Tongguang Elementary School, Houlong Town, Miaoli County

Tongguang Elementary School in Houlong Town, Miaoli County held a cross-field creative arts and aesthetics course on May 13. Associate Professor Liu Shuying of the Department of Early Childhood Education of National Tsinghua University was invited to conduct an exploration of life issues and movement analysis with the theme of "Creative Artistic Body Movements". The workshop was hosted by Principal Zhang Chuanyuan, who led the current director Yu Bixia and the teachers. Everyone "played" with the body in a spirit of spontaneity, interaction, and mutual good, and incorporated the landscape features of Tongguang's on-site courses to stimulate creativity.

The activity is divided into five stages:

1. Body roll call, learn about body parts, develop creative body movements, and add language changes such as Mandarin, Taiwanese, Hakka, English, etc. to integrate language field learning.

2. Hair root doll shaping: Using hair root bending to design human body movements, it can imitate the postures of multiple dolls for continuous movements, and then program it into a dance formula, add music, and it can be developed into a multi-combination dance, or join with the same light on the ground Environmental physical interaction dialogue.

3. Gerund vocabulary cards: Randomly use word cards that combine body parts and verb vocabulary to inspire more compound gerund vocabulary.

4. Create your own dance steps with digital code: use paper to arrange the codes 1, 2, 3, and 4 in the four corners, and program the formula, for example: 13, 13, 1234; 24, 24, 2143. It is possible to create dance steps. You can use campus floor tiles Come and dance.

5. Interesting modeling of elastic bands: Use ring-shaped elastic bands, starting from stable movements at fixed points, and use the spatial awareness of Labang movement analysis to carry out different aspects of "facade", "desktop", "wheel surface", and different levels such as high, middle and low. Transform; and add mobility, collaborate with others to form new shapes, and explore the possibilities of body posture and narrative text.

We hope that through such cross-field creative and aesthetic courses, Tongguang’s food and agriculture education and robotics experiment courses can develop student-centered and dynamic narrative extensions of local culture.
