The Ministry of Education's Cross-Domain Aesthetic Excellence Pilot Program participated in the 5th Taiwan-wide first-school curriculum expo - "2023 Innovation*Cross-Domain*Future" on June 10. The conference was held at the Zhongzheng Hall of National Cheng Kung University, with a total of 112 teaching interactions. The booths participated in the grand event, attracting many people who care about education to participate.
Professor Li Qichang, co-host of the project, invited Tainan City Education Bureau Director Zheng Xinhui, Deputy Director Wang Kunyuan, National Cheng Kung University Art Institute Professor Chen Jiabin, Yushan Elementary School Principal Zheng Yusheng and others to visit the booth and interact with the students. It was quite a scene. lively! They also promoted the importance of cross-field aesthetic education to the Chief Secretary of the Education Bureau, Yang Chi-hsiung, and jointly hoped to use innovative courses to accompany cross-field talents.
In addition to exhibiting cross-domain aesthetic handbooks and videos, the event also collaborated with Seed School Wenyuan Elementary School on a stamp collection event. Wenyuan Elementary School's curriculum uses the 400th anniversary of the founding of Tainan as its theme to learn about the fighting conditions between the Zheng and Dutch armies at that time. It uses local teaching combined with cross-field learning methods such as English, drama, and art to enable children to think about history. This booth also selected 10 paper puppets inspired by the course and made by Wenyuan Elementary School students as templates. The public was invited to listen to stories from the Joseon period and create their own paper puppets.
Director of Jiufenzi Junior High School Lai Ruyin also came to the booth to exchange ideas on the implementation of cross-disciplinary lesson plans with teacher Hu Rongyun of Wenyuan Elementary School. The cross-domain aesthetic handbook and paper puppet making drawings were also distributed at the booth, looking forward to the energy of cross-disciplinary aesthetics The activities can be passed on to the participating public through the first school in Taiwan.
