On March 31st, we held a "Cross-disciplinary Aesthetics Course Open Class Observation Event" at Zhongshan Elementary School, Banqiao, New Taipei City Seed School. Principal Chen Xuetian and teacher Liu Meiling of Zhongshan Elementary School taught in person, and planned to co-host Professor Chen Chundi and Li Qichang Professors and teacher training committee members including Professor Zhang Yushan and Professor Jiang Xueying from National Taiwan Normal University, Professor Chen Junwen from Beijing University of the Arts, and Dr. Ye Changqing from Yiguan Biotech all came to give guidance, and met with teachers from New Taipei Seed School, graduate students of Taiwan Normal University masters, and PhD students in aesthetic education from National Taiwan Normal University. Learn and learn from each other.
The cross-disciplinary curriculum of Zhongshan Elementary School connects subjects such as visual arts, nature, technology and life, and is developed based on the local Fuzhou community culture. It is combined with the classroom application of mobile microscopes to simplify the practice of pattern symbolism, allowing students to explore the life surroundings from a "microscopic" perspective. The micro-world of objects builds emotional connections and creates a sense of identity through imagination and understanding of places. The classroom is student-centered, allowing children to become the masters of learning, and the teacher plays the role of guide. During the class discussion, Professor Zhang Yushan said that he saw the children's eyes light up during the microscopic observation process! Literacy-oriented teaching design seeks materials from life situations, which can be transformed into artistic creation and applied in life. Professor Chen Junwen also highly praised the school for developing many levels of cross-field aspects from simple courses, allowing students to feel and observe with their hearts. Professor Li Qichang even brought teaching materials to teach teachers and students to learn together, and he hopes that in the future the courses can be integrated into the artistic fields of music and performance art, and develop more diverse cross-disciplinary courses!
Finally, Dr. Ye Changqing brought a workshop on mobile microscopy teaching materials, allowing teachers to understand and make full use of microscopic teaching materials, and integrate them into cross-field literacy education, extending the infinite possibilities of teaching.
