The Kaohsiung-Pingtung area cooperative schools of this project independently initiated the "114th Academic Year Kaohsiung-Pingtung Area Cooperative Schools Mid-term Implementation Exchange Sharing and Observation and Study Meeting" at Jiuqu Hall in Dashu, Kaohsiung on January 17, 2015.
There were 12 participants in total, of which 10 were cooperative schools in Kaohsiung and Pingtung area with more than half of the attendance, and 5 were benchmark schools with more than half of the attendance. The three main areas of exchange in this meeting are: 1. Mid-term exchange and sharing of cooperative schools in the Kaohsiung and Pingtung areas; 2. Handmade cultural asset experience (small brick construction in Sanhe Kiln, pineapple fiber paper making); 3. Cultural asset field trip experience (Jiuqutang old iron bridge, Taiwan pineapple factory).
The initiator and convener of this exchange meeting, Zheng Yawen, a teacher at Chaozhou Junior High School in Pingtung County, shared the motivation for initiating this event at the meeting, hoping to promote the connection between the Kaohsiung and Pingtung teacher communities through this exchange opportunity. Representatives from each school at the meeting then shared the implementation status of each school's current curriculum plan in turn, and immediately accepted feedback and suggestions from all participants.
This exchange meeting was held in Jiuqutang, Dashu Township, Kaohsiung City, because of the rich industrial and agricultural background of the local cultural assets. Jiuqutang has a century-old brick and tile industry and pineapple industry. Local culture is an important foundation for aesthetic education. It is planned that the participating teachers will have in-depth exchanges during the hand-made and field trip experiences, and continue to prepare for the next community dialogue event in March this year (2025).
