Lecture content:
Senior Guixian is an alumnus of Changzhong High School. He spent 189 days traveling throughout Central and South America on a self-guided tour in 106. In this workshop, Senior Guixian extended his experience from short-distance trips in high school and overseas trips to Taiwan in college to longer voyages. He shared his experiences during the trip, including the international situation, art and humanities, politics and economics, etc. From this perspective, students are encouraged to imagine future possibilities with a more open and flexible mind, to dream boldly and to practice bravely.
Thoughts and feedback:
High school students spend most of their lives wandering around schools, cram schools, and families. Under heavy academic pressure, they also imagine their future. Traveling around the world is the dream of many people, but everyone thinks that it must make a lot of money or require specific conditions to complete it. Senior Guixian’s sharing lets everyone know how to use the resources and tools at hand to plan a journey, the safety matters that must be paid attention to during the journey, and the mentality you should have when traveling. Finally, Senior Guixian shared with everyone three things he learned while traveling:
love is the only
promote goodwill
Hungry for knowledge and foolish in mind
