Thoughts and feedback:
I took advantage of the afternoon of Duan Kao to ask the Academic Affairs Office to help adjust classes, and invited teacher Zhang Dongjun, a well-known domestic picture book writer, to come to the school to share her picture book creation experience. Teacher Zhang is knowledgeable and experienced, so he constantly used interesting stories and examples during the lectures, which made us laugh. In addition to being immersed in the various picture book stories, the teacher humorously led us to learn about many domestic Foreign picture books.
We will read picture books with our children, but we never thought that there are so many considerations behind the creation of a picture book, and we have never carefully examined whether the illustrations in the picture book are correct. Today I heard Teacher Zhang say that children will learn about animals when reading books. What are your habits? What does it look like? Will you know the details of the animals’ lives, such as where they live? What good friends do you have? If you write it wrong, it will make the child think that reading is bad and will be wrong. Only then did I realize that the reason why Teacher Zhang is famous is that she is so rigorous in what she does! Not only do you have to feel remorseful for your careless attitude.
Teacher Zhang has been doing research with her father, who is a fish expert, since she was a child. She also studied zoology when she was growing up, so her examples today are all about animals. However, the only people participating in the workshop today are teachers from the fields of Chinese literature and art. It’s a pity that there are no teachers in the natural field. Her course also mentioned the "animal kitchen" she led, which made me think that maybe we could have an interdisciplinary course combining the natural field and the comprehensive field!
