New Taipei City High School: Results Sharing and Discussion Workshop

Time: May 24, 106 (Wednesday)

Lecturer: New Taipei High School biology teacher Zheng Yuanjing, art teacher Zhang Yipin

Location: Conference Room on the third floor of New Taipei High School

Lecture content:

In this workshop, two teachers who participated in the cross-field aesthetic education experimental project will share how they implemented cross-field teaching last semester, and invite teachers who are interested in participating in the third phase of the project to chat. Talking about the cross-field possibilities of various subjects also provides schools with more ideas on cross-field teaching in the 107 curriculum in the future. The content of the workshop consists of three parts:

  • Publish the cross-field aesthetic education experimental program course that has been completed and is currently being implemented at New Taipei High School, and share the thoughts and experiences in the research and development course.
  • Biology teacher Zheng Yuanjing shared how to use virus model teaching to cooperate with the art department to jointly develop aesthetic education courses.
  • Art teacher Zhang Yipin shared how to work with biology classes to create virus models, giving students more creativity in materials and the concept of three-dimensional modeling.

Teachers who participated in the workshop talked about how various subjects and aesthetics can be combined, as well as the possibility of cross-field teaching.

Thoughts and feedback:

In this workshop, the teachers who participated in the cross-field aesthetic education experimental project provided a good example:

In the practical operation sharing part of curriculum development, the model teaching shared by biology teacher Zheng Yuanjing makes people think about how science can be combined with art. Illustrations and models of natural sciences are all very useful parts. In addition, Teacher Yuan Jing also explained how to stimulate students' willingness to learn, organized students to co-organize exhibitions and serve as volunteers, and shared many practical experiences with the teachers present. Art teacher Zhang Yipin shared how to lead students to integrate existing subject knowledge into aesthetics after connecting horizontally with the subject. For example, the three-dimensional concept of the model and the possibilities of materials allowed students to have new creative thinking.

From the above cross-field courses, whether they have been practiced or are being experimented, the creativity of the teachers is really wonderful, giving many new ideas and thinking to the teachers present, and we look forward to more sparks of cross-field courses.
