Sponsor: National Pingtung Girls’ High School
Time: February 14, 2016 (Monday-Tuesday)
Lecturer: Chen Pakho (Taiwanese artist living in the Netherlands)
Location: Art Life Classroom
Lecture content:
Chen Pakho, who lives in the Netherlands, brought his Dutch friend who is engaged in environmental design work to Taiwan for a two-week trip around the island. He was able to stop in Pingtung for two hours and gave lectures on such different aspects - technology, human art and Dutch urban environmental design.
Thoughts and feedback:
Both of you have an excellent grasp of time and content! Reminds me of an educational reform documentary produced by Public Television: Sheep Hunting in New Zealand
The outstanding intern teachers in Taiwan prepared too many activities to attract students and brought them to New Zealand high schools for trial teaching. As a result, the class was over and all the students left the classroom one by one, regardless of whether the teacher had finished the class.
Usually our opening ceremony is a lecture, but the opening ceremony of that high school was to invite outstanding alumni to come back and share.
On the first day of school, they didn't say much, but they all talked about keywords.
I am so happy that I can see such a different and vast world through their eyes.
