Kaohsiung Municipal No. 1 Junior High School: Extension of Color Science - The World of Printing

Time: October 19, 2015 (Wednesday)

Lecturer: Teacher Chen Yiru from our school

Location: Art Classroom 2, Kaohsiung Municipal No. 1 Junior High School

Lecture content:

The main focus of the workshop is on extended discussions on printing technologies that teachers are less familiar with, focusing on the basic color science concepts of the three primary colors and the Eden twelve color circle, and extending to discussions on RGB and CMYK.
In addition to discussing the basic concepts and color mixing methods of printing colors, we further discussed the changes in printing technology over the years and how the current resources in the school should be transformed to facilitate subsequent teaching and production.

Thoughts and feedback:
This workshop allowed colleagues to rethink the Eden color circle in the color theory taught in visual arts, as well as the practical application of the color matching concept of the CMYK system, which is more biased towards art operation majors. , but when it comes to silk printing in printing production, it tends to be a tool operation in life science and technology. The measurement and calculation in the production process belong to the field of mathematics. In the process of discussing with each other, the questions that were constantly raised caused a lot of confusion. The impact allows for a deeper and more complete discussion and reflection on the course objectives in cross-field aesthetic education, and re-examines the content and process of the subsequent teaching courses. Both the speaker and the participants gain a lot. few.
