This workshop invited Professor Zeng Yiren from the Department of Architecture of Kinmen University to give the lecture. He first introduced the current situation of the Ministry of Education's promotion of cross-field aesthetic education courses, as well as the results of the first phase of implementation by each experimental school, and explained the second phase of the process, and then explained it in simple terms. How to combine aesthetics and subject areas in Kinmen's local Fujian architecture and Western-style buildings and other cultural assets in cross-disciplinary courses.
Thoughts and feedback:
The school participated in the cross-disciplinary aesthetics for the first time in the 2015 academic year. The initial idea was to focus on small group teaching materials and teaching plans. During the process of organizing the workshop, I kept thinking about which subjects to focus on to invite teachers, and finally decided to still use local teachers. A professor from the Department of Architecture of Kinmen University came to provide us with overall guidance. Through such workshops, colleagues in the school can better understand what the cross-field aesthetic courses are doing, and also allow interested teachers in the school to gather together to discuss the various possibilities of cross-field aesthetic courses, not just this one The participation of geography and visual arts subjects drives all fields to think about new trends in future education. It is a bottom-up study initiated by teachers, and it is expected that more fields will join in the second cycle in the future.
During the course, many historical buildings in Kinmen were introduced. Everyone compared the differences before and after restoration. They deeply felt that many beautiful buildings disappeared or were damaged due to man-made policies and repairs. The main reason was the lack of beauty and aesthetic humanistic qualities. If they are indifferent or indifferent to these changes, they should think about how to combine the characteristics of local monuments and buildings, integrate geography and visual arts teaching, so that students can perceive the beauty of the surrounding environment and create a living environment that they can feel.
