ancient capital╳ancient capital
The twin cities refer to Tainan and Kyoto. These two cities are famous for their rich cultural background. Teacher Meixia first shared with us her experience of living in the city from the perspective of running the Southern Lecture Hall in Fucheng and assisting in organizing many cultural activities. What you heard, switch to travel──the cultural connotations that you can pay attention to when walking in a city. From the perspective of cultural creativity, Teacher Meixia introduced Kyoto’s seasons, festivals, literature, and brands... The discussion level includes history, geography, art, and humanities, giving people a deeper understanding of this city.
life and aesthetics
"Education is about teaching students how to live," Teacher Meixia explained. Regarding the city we live in, how to use experiences and activities to give students a deeper sense of beauty is a more urgent issue after traveling. Based on their own experience, the teacher talked about how to organize activities in Tainan and how to make the activities educational and inspiring. He told us that the best place for education is to start from life.
Thoughts and feedback:
Today, a week after the workshop, we can still hear many teachers sharing their experiences and new ideas during the workshop. It is truly touching to see the huge impact these participations have had. At this moment when the 107 curriculum is about to be implemented, cross-field integration allows us to have a more focused imagination on teaching.
Many people helped us during the event, including the considerate National Normal University team, the hard-working administrative team on campus, the chairman of social studies who organized and contacted us with many details of the event, colleagues on campus who participated in the workshop and gave many positive comments, and I have learned a lot and am grateful for the partners I work with to implement the course design.
