[Review of October Day Reading]

This month’s extra-curricular activity of “Beauty Across Territories and Local Day Study” took me to Taitung, far away from the hustle and bustle of the world. It also crossed the borders of Taiwan’s islands and visited the outlying islands of Kinmen and Penghu! Now let us review together the three "Cross-Border Aesthetic · Local Day Reading Workshops" held this month!

Through the careful arrangement of the day-reading workshop, not only can everyone see different scenery in a familiar community; at the same time, it can also give participants the opportunity to step out of their original living areas, understand the characteristics of other counties and cities, and experience the outside world. The beauty of the island area.

The aboriginal style of the Qingshui Model Church in Taitung allows everyone to walk under the reflection of the colorful window lattice, recall local stories together, and at the same time connect their emotions towards the place. The outer islands of Kinmen and Penghu use the humanistic image of architectural tiles and the natural land sentiment of the ocean to let everyone experience a different "Taiwan". In addition to visual experience, "hands-on" is also an important process in cultivating aesthetic sense. Therefore, the tiles in Kinmen became the pattern of fondant cookies, and the drifting garbage on Penghu Beach was transformed into magic and became unique and creative commemorative decorations.

November is about to enter a slightly cold month, but our enthusiasm for local visits will continue! The registration for next month’s day study activity will be announced soon. Please pay close attention to the fan page and join us on a beautiful journey to Taiwan!
