The first stop of the cross-disciplinary aesthetic education project results tour exhibition and seed school selection briefing was at Kaohsiung Pier 2 Art Park.

An opening ceremony was held in the exhibition hall on the morning of March 29, kicking off three touring exhibitions of achievements in Taiwan's southern, central and eastern districts. Chief Li Jingwei of the Social Education Section of the Kaohsiung Education Bureau, Professor Kuo Meili from the Department of Music at National Taitung University, Professor Wu Hongyi from the Department of Music at National Pingtung University, and Assistant Professor Cai Peigui from the Institute of Interdisciplinary Arts at National Kaohsiung Normal University came to the scene to care. Professor Huang Chunmin, the co-host of the project, looked back on the implementation of the project for more than five years, from the thorny road to the amazing implementation process. She pointed out that from the beginning of 10 experimental schools to nearly 200 cooperative schools across Taiwan, the results of promoting cross-field aesthetic education are obvious to all. Section Chief Li Jingwei also shared Kaohsiung’s development and achievements in aesthetic and cultural promotion in recent years. From the exhibition of various aesthetic projects to the holding of aesthetic forums, Kaohsiung’s achievements in cultural construction were demonstrated.

At the seed school selection briefings on March 28 and March 29, Professor Huang Chunmin introduced the plan and teacher Chen Chundi explained the funding, allowing participating teachers to understand how the plan is implemented. In addition, the executive teams of Kaohsiung Municipal Juguang Elementary School and National Pingtung Girls' High School were invited to share their practical experience in curriculum development and implementation, so that participating teachers can understand the implementation status at the practical level and experience the impact of cross-field aesthetic education on the teaching site. The changes and touches come, reducing teachers’ anxiety and uneasiness.

In the afternoon of the briefing session, two interdisciplinary aesthetic education course experience workshops were held to provide teachers with opportunities to enhance their abilities. Xiaogang High School combined the civic practice of environmental protection issues with leather handicrafts, provided teachers with the direction of curriculum integration and practical implementation suggestions, and worked with participating teachers to create exquisite and practical drink bags. Pingtung Girls' High School guides teachers to condense the feelings of life into handmade seasonal boxes using poems, dried flowers and paintings, and paintings. By combining text, nature and painting, the intangible feelings are transformed into tangible records.

The five-day exhibition attracted many people and teachers. In addition to providing teachers with opportunities for self-education, it also allows more people to understand cross-field aesthetic education and gives the public an imaginative blueprint for future education.
