Cross-domain gathering, beauty sails! The National Taiwan Normal University was entrusted by the Ministry of Education to promote the "Cross-field Aesthetic Education Excellence Pilot Project". Yesterday, the "Kinmen Collaboration Conference" was held at Jinning Primary and Secondary School in Kinmen County. With the joint participation of Seed Schools, through open class observations and collaborative discussions, we hope that Kinmen Seed School will present a diversified style of cross-field aesthetics courses, and at the same time let the field of aesthetics education take root firmly and sprout and thrive in all academic courses!
  Jinning Primary and Secondary School held the "Kinmen Collaboration Conference". Professor Li Qichang of the National Taiwan University of Arts, the co-host of the project, specially invited Professor Qiu Yongfu of the Oriental University of Design, Associate Professor Zeng Yiren and Associate Professor Li Jintan of the National Kinmen University, as well as the principals of seed schools in Kinmen County. , teachers gathered together. Through curriculum sharing and discussions in each school, the cross-domain aesthetic courses will develop into a richer and more exciting appearance.
The meeting started with Chen Yalan, the principal of Jinning Primary and Secondary Schools, and Li Xinxin, a section member of the Social Education Section of the Kinmen County Government Education Department and associate professor Li Qichang, the project co-host, giving encouragement to the seed schools and hoping that each school would demonstrate the fruitful results of its cross-domain aesthetic courses.
During the on-site observation, Yang Yixuan, a middle school mathematics teacher at Jinning Primary and Secondary School, took "Visualization of Sequences" as the main theme of the course, combined mathematics and visual arts, and arranged lectures, public observations, and class discussions. The class starts with the regularity of graphics in life, and then discusses various sequence in mathematics and how to convert numbers into graphics. It also uses the work of artist Frank Stella to demonstrate the graphic creation of rulers and compasses, encouraging students to use sequence, Geometric shapes and colors serve as tools to draw your own images. The teacher led the students through the course, and the students discussed and shared their creations with each other. The interactive and lively class impressed the teachers present deeply.
During the collaboration meeting, Director Xu Fanying of Jinning Primary and Secondary School introduced the lesson plan "Pinecone Elf", which combines cross-disciplinary courses in mathematics, English, and visual arts. He started the course by introducing students to the Christmas celebration traditions of different countries, and guided students through Various geometric shapes are used to make various Christmas ornaments. Teachers Zheng Tingyun and Li Huiping of Zhongzheng Elementary School in Kinmen County planned the "Goldsmith Little Craftsman" course to connect nature, art and metalworking creation. In addition to leading students to understand the campus plants, they also learned metalworking techniques to make plant patterns into ornaments, and cultivate their artistic cultivation. Play into practice in life.
Cross-disciplinary aesthetic courses refer to the use of artistic concepts, aesthetic elements and artistic resources to integrate the teaching of other disciplines as media, resources and strategies to activate and subsidize subject learning. It is believed that in the field of education, using the art field as the core of promoting cross-field courses can, on the one hand, add value to the teaching effectiveness of various subjects, and on the other hand, it can subtly improve students' aesthetic literacy and provide the innovative literacy necessary for future citizens.
