Guofeng Junior High School implements the Ministry of Education's "Interdisciplinary Aesthetic Education Experimental Curriculum Development Plan for Secondary Schools", which combines art with various subject areas. After one school year of implementation and research, a results observation meeting was held yesterday, and teachers from various schools in the county also came to the school. This project was hosted by Li Qichang, a professor at the Institute of Art and Humanities Teaching of the National Taiwan University of Arts. In addition to teachers from various schools, the observation meeting was attended by Zhuang Xiuzhen, Specialist Promotion Specialist for the Aesthetic Project of the Ministry of Education, Zhou Zhongqi, Curriculum Inspector of the Education Department of the Hualien County Government, and National Taitung University Professor Guo Meili from the Department of Music, Associate Professor Huang Wenjuan from the Department of Taiwanese Culture, Professor Zhang Xiaohua from the Department of Art and Theater at National Taiwan University of Arts, Professor Luo Meilan from the Department of Art and Creative Industries at National Dong Hwa University, and others also attended the event to show their concern.
The Aesthetic Project uses art as the core curriculum concept and combines the interdisciplinary teacher team of junior high schools and high schools (including visual arts, music, performing arts, art and life, etc.) and other subject areas (Chinese, mathematics, English, social studies, Nature, etc.) cross-field cooperation to achieve a deep exploration of the commonality of aesthetics in different disciplines and promote the multiplication effect of learning connotation.
The experimental school teams that implement the plan are distributed in five regions across the country: North, Central, South, East and outer islands. Based on the school attributes, balance of education stages, balance of educational resources, and balance of teachers with expertise in the art field, ten junior high school principals, art field teachers, and subject area teachers were selected to form a planned experimental school team in each district to participate in the development of experimental courses.
The east end of the junior high school is headed by Principal Wu Bizhu, the chief coordinator of the arts and humanities learning area. Tang Xiangying, the artistic talent team leader of the Academic Affairs Office, coordinates the eighth-grade art class to conduct experimental courses, combining Chinese, history, and geography teachers to focus on the Hualien area and the students' lives. The field serves as the exploration point, and the experimental curriculum development plan is carried out by integrating the ink painting class and computer class of the art class.

Guofeng Junior High School hopes to activate and develop the curriculum through cross-field aesthetic courses, to achieve a curriculum based on artistic construction and starting from students' life experience, triggering teachers' bottom-up curriculum development energy, and combining with partner teachers from experimental schools to teach A cycle of experimentation, developing cross-field aesthetic education courses for secondary schools, and developing curriculum implementation models and teaching unit examples.
