In urban areas, opportunities and environments for learning music are quite common; however, music teachers in schools in non-urban areas are quite difficult to find. Forty-seven college student volunteers from the Department of Music of Taichung University of Education used their musical expertise to create a different summer growth camp for children at Fuyang Elementary School during the summer vacation, demonstrating the enthusiasm and vitality of young volunteers.

In the scorching midsummer, college students from the Department of Music of the University of China Education, with the spirit of "going into rural areas and operating sustainably", planned the "2018 Third Rural Children's Music Growth Summer Camp - Xingxia Xianming", which was recently held in Fengyuan District Fuyang Elementary School held a four-day children's music growth summer camp.

Fuyang Elementary School is located on the eastern outskirts of Fengyuan District, close to the hillside of the Xinshe River. There are only three small buses a day connecting to the city. After the opening of Fengyuan Avenue, the school district was blocked from Fengyuan Avenue by Hanxi. Traffic and economic factors made Fuyang Elementary School become a border area of Fengyuan District.

The camp is based on the idea of "seeing social needs, helping and cooperating among peers, and planting seeds of hope for rural students." Each college student uses what they have learned to plan a variety of musical teaching activities in the camp. Let the children feel the rhythm of notes and music through body movement, express music emotions with paintings, and travel around the world with music.
