In order to showcase the results of cross-field curriculum development and understand the international education trends, the Ministry of Education held the "Art of Golden Orchid Cultivating Aesthetics - 2018 Cross-field Aesthetic Education International Symposium and Achievements Exhibition" at the National Taiwan Normal University today (5th). The key achievements in the past three years have been invited to gather together domestic and foreign scholars, hoping to spark the interaction between theory and practice.

The Ministry of Education has been promoting the medium and long-term plan for aesthetic education since 2013, and has commissioned the National Taiwan Normal University to carry out the "Interdisciplinary Aesthetic Education Experimental Curriculum Development Plan for Secondary Schools and Elementary Schools", with the art field as the core of the cross-disciplinary curriculum. Cooperate with teachers from different fields to add value to the teaching effectiveness of each subject, hoping to subtly enhance students' aesthetic literacy. At the same time, 110 primary schools have joined in 106, and the second phase of the 5-year plan has been promoted to win national awards. 177 national high school primary schools invested and designed nearly 300 lesson plans with fruitful results.

Zhu Nanxian, director-general secretary of the Ministry of Education, said that the first phase of the Ministry of Education’s aesthetics project can have fruitful results, especially when National Taiwan Normal University collaborates with schools in various regions to display the results of the project. Seeing the importance of aesthetics education to students, Aesthetic education is a core competency that students in the 21st century should have. The Ministry of Education's plan is to promote diversification. In the next five years, the Ministry of Education will continue to carry out the mid-term plan for aesthetic education and strengthen support to improve students' aesthetic literacy.

In his speech, Zhu Nanxian, the director-general secretary of the Ministry of Education, also explained in English to cross-field beauty education scholars from the United States, Britain, Australia and other countries that the Ministry of Education has allocated 12 million US dollars (approximately NT$4 billion) in the past five years through various We hope to promote aesthetic education through various forms, hoping to increase international exchanges in the future, introduce more internationally relevant aesthetic education information, and help Taiwan develop better practices in cultivating aesthetic literacy.
