The Ministry of Education promotes the "Cross-disciplinary Aesthetic Education Curriculum". Five schools in the county, Zhongzheng Elementary School, Zhongxing Elementary School, Chenli Elementary School, Jibei Elementary School, and Pengnan Junior High School, won the award among more than 300 participating primary and secondary schools across the country. Selected as a seed school with the honor of designing and planning a "cross-field aesthetic education curriculum" to enhance the 3 aspects and 9 core competencies of "artistic literacy and aesthetic literacy" of the "12-year National Basic Education Curriculum Master Outline".
The co-hosts of this project, Associate Professor Li Qichang of the National Taiwan University of Arts and Professor Zhuang Minren of the National Taichung University of Education, specially invited the advisory committee members Professor Qiu Yongfu of the Oriental Design Institute, Professor Zhong Yihui, Professor Hong Guowei, Professor Li Peifang of the National University of Science and Technology in Penghu and various sub-schools in the county. The principal and teachers held a curriculum discussion and research meeting on October 3.
Zhongzheng Elementary School, a seed school in this county, designed the "Meticulous Campus Plant Atlas" curriculum to combine the fields of nature and art; Zhongxing Elementary School took shadow puppetry as the main axis and integrated the Chinese language field and the visual arts field to plan the "Light and Shadow Play - Shadow Play Fun" course. Pei Elementary School has integrated local Shihu characteristics and exquisite creations to develop the "Poseidon's Necklace - Jibei Shihu" course, which has become an aesthetic cross-disciplinary course with Penghu characteristics; Merli Elementary School has integrated mathematics through performance and drama. In the form of field courses, the "My Family" and "Grasp Every Second" courses are used to guide students to integrate mathematical knowledge and enhance their aesthetic abilities; Pennan Junior High School emphasizes activating students' inner experience and aesthetic literacy in the 12-year national education To connect the aesthetics of life and the environment, we plan the "Interesting" course to guide students to explore the beauty of community life through field trips, thereby enhancing students' awareness of the beauty of the public realm.
Director of the Education Department Su Qichang attended the meeting and thanked the planning team for coming to the county. He also stated at the meeting that in order to promote and implement cross-field aesthetic courses, the school is committed to trying new developments in the curriculum; conducting cross-field integration in teaching and guiding Students' diversified learning horizons promote the cross-field purpose and spirit and enhance the cross-field aesthetic literacy of the whole people. In the field of education, using the art field as the core of cross-field courses can, on the one hand, add value to the teaching effectiveness of various subjects, and on the other hand, it can subtly improve students' aesthetic literacy and provide innovative literacy for future citizens.
