The Ministry of Education's "110 Schools with Excellent Cross-Domain Aesthetics" award ceremony was held yesterday (21st) at the auditorium of the National Taiwan Normal University Headquarters. "Excellence Award", Principal Xu Ziyou led the teaching team teachers Xiao Zhongchun, Lin Xiuzhen, Zhuang Shuqing and Huang Yuxiang to receive it. It affirms the effectiveness of Kinmen High School’s efforts in cross-domain aesthetic education.

Principal Xu Ziyou said that this award-winning course is a multi-level elective course for senior high school students: Mexican Language and Culture, taught by teacher Xiao Zhongchun. The co-preparation teachers include Teacher Lin Xiuzhen currently serving at Taitung Girls' High School and Teacher Zhuang Shuqing from Weili Girls' High School. . The course content takes the four qualities of Mexican hummingbirds as the main axis, and treats weekly lessons as every little flower that a hummingbird encounters, in order to face different situations of life, and lead students to share and experience Mexican language and life. Explore more unknown lifestyles by yourself, and after graduation, always remind yourself of your attitude towards life.

The course goals set by Teacher Xiao Zhongchun are to "learn a new language (Spanish for beginners)", "experience a foreign culture (experience of cultural customs)", "explore the potential self (the similarities and differences between myself and others)", and " Different decks such as "Broaden Life Vision (Exposure to Other People's Experiences)" are displayed to demonstrate to high school seniors who are about to enter college: there is no fixed path in life, and there are no standard success examples. Some are just thinking about the life you want to live. and strive to create every day of life; every path can lead to infinite possibilities, you can carve out your own path, and bring happiness and luck to your daily life while overcoming difficulties.

The teaching team was invited to participate in the 2022 Taiwan International Forum on Cross-Domain Aesthetic Education and shared the elective course "Trans! International Movement and Understanding", explaining that students should understand and experience other cultures and then reflect on themselves. The curriculum integrates the theme of "International Education", diversifies learning channels, tolerates unfamiliar cultures, and practices the courage to step out of the comfort zone. And while moving internationally, we re-understand the place and recognize our own position and responsibility to the land.
