The Ministry of Education's cross-disciplinary aesthetic curriculum development project "National Teachers' Federation Conference"

The second phase of the "Interdisciplinary Aesthetic Education Experimental Curriculum Development Project for Secondary Schools" entrusted by the Ministry of Education to the National Taiwan Normal University will be held on June 16, 2020 at the National Teachers' Joint Conference in the 509 International Conference Hall of the National Taiwan Normal University Complex. ”. We hope to share the results of the cross-field aesthetic curriculum program with partner schools across the country and discuss the concept of cross-field integration of the 12-year national education.

The second phase of the "Interdisciplinary Aesthetic Classroom Experimental Curriculum Development Project for Secondary Schools", under the leadership of the project host Professor Zhao Huiling, has expanded the cooperative school team from ten national and high schools in the first phase to a total of 67 schools in the north, middle and south east of the country. Another feature of this school is that it joins the group of professors and teacher trainees from the teacher training university. It is expected that through the participation of teachers and students from 10 teacher training universities, the cross-field integration capabilities of pre-service teachers will be enhanced, and more experimental aesthetic course plans will be created and shared with each other.

The schools participating in this project all performed well in the 105 school year. For example, Taichung No. 1 Middle School integrated scientific drawings of animals and plants in the biology class and ink flower creation in the art class to guide students' rational and emotional perception skills and construct knowledge from multiple perspectives. System; Pengnan Junior High School organizes a sand painting fishing village-sandscape art creation course that combines local characteristics. The course starts and ends with beach cleaning. It not only allows students to develop their creativity, but also enhances their awareness of marine environment and cultural protection; new Bei City Zhuwei Junior High School combines animation elements and Japanese cartoons to allow students to design the shape and color of rice balls. It also adds color science and nutrition to teach the nutritional value of the original colors of food.

Professor Huang Chunmin, co-host of the project, said that subject-specific teaching is the product of professional differentiation of knowledge, which is convenient for teachers to teach, but student-centered cross-field aesthetic courses can better achieve the learning of core competencies - that is, creativity, discovery, and invention. , imagination, critical thinking, problem solving, interactive communication, and cross-cultural global movement, etc. These are the focus of teaching and learning.

Through the efforts of many teachers over the past year, each school has achieved extraordinary growth and performance in the cross-disciplinary aesthetic education project. Through this conference, principals and teachers from cooperative schools across the country, as well as teachers’ training universities, are invited to gather together to share and discuss the results of curriculum implementation during this period. Learning and communicating with each other will surely spark different creative sparks and dialogue spaces. .
