"I hope they can feel and be moved by the people and things around them, even a little peanut."
The interdisciplinary aesthetic course of Penghu Hujing Elementary School, driven by principal Lin Yanling and teacher Xu Qiuxia, has been # Tiger Well SamboStarting from "Centipede, Fengru, Cactus", through the extension of children's ideas and combining with local characteristics, a unique Hujing characteristic curriculum has been developed.
In the classroom, "three boards" are used for performative language training, and cross-domain courses are added to nature courses to add vegetable growing experience. Not only that, the teachers also actively integrate external resources into the school, inviting professors from the Normal University to guide musicals, and even inviting artists to create on-campus creations, using the school environment as a canvas to allow children to see unrestrained creative expressions!
"We all encourage children to try more, but our teachers don't seem to be encouraged to try more."
In modern society where aesthetic education is highly valued, there are more possibilities at the teaching site. These diverse teaching methods require the enthusiastic input of teachers, giving children the opportunity to try more, explore more, and learn more. This is also the importance of promoting cross-disciplinary aesthetic education courses in today's educational environment in Taiwan.
