The Ministry of Education has been promoting the second phase of the mid- to long-term plan for aesthetic education since 108, and its sub-project "Cross-field Aesthetic Excellence Pilot Project (hereinafter referred to as the Cross-field Aesthetic Project)" is dedicated to the promotion of cross-field aesthetic courses, and continues to work with Participating in the hard research and development of schools, there have been a total of 1,386 cross-field beauty curriculum projects, connecting families, schools, communities and society, spreading the energy of beauty, and covering a wide range of topics, including "women", "human rights", and "environmental sustainability" ”, “Teacher Community” and other highlight courses.
In order to encourage schools to participate in the cross-domain aesthetics project and develop high-quality curriculum cases to provide more schools with participation, the Ministry of Education has established awards such as the Cross-Domain Aesthetics Pilot Award, the Cross-Domain Aesthetics Excellence Award, and the Cross-Domain Aesthetics Excellence Award, and selects outstanding merits every year. Schools; in the 2010 academic year, there were 161 partner schools in Taiwan, and in the end, 35 schools in 19 counties and cities won this honor.
A primary school in Jinhu Town, Kinmen County, which has won the "Cross-Domain Aesthetics Pilot Award" for many years, has developed a curriculum "Looking for Beauty and Treasure Hunting", starting from the concept of "Beautiful People, Human Beauty" and integrating gender equality issues and human rights education issues. , allowing students to get to know the beauty of Malala, an activist who is famous for fighting for women’s rights and women’s education rights. Students are arranged to be “little reporters” and conduct a series of cross-domain character exploration and experiential learning in the form of reporter interviews. Look for the "beauty of characters" on campus, understand and detect the touch and influence of beauty in their lives.
Kaohsiung Municipal National High School has developed a curriculum "Biological Rhapsody" with the issue of environmental sustainability as the main theme. The curriculum uses the musical works of the picture book "Animal Rhapsody" to discuss the relationship between biodiversity and the creative elements of music. Through sound The "World Animal Showcase" created with scenes, actual scenes and visions allows teachers, students and parents to understand the connotation of sustainable issues and feel the results and emotions of students' aesthetic creations.
In addition, Taoyuan Municipal Taoyuan Senior High School, which won the "Interdisciplinary Aesthetic Excellence Award", used the power of the teacher community "Love Class Heart (Action)" to carry out cross-subject and cross-school curriculum preparation to develop "White Terror Human Rights Issues" "Drama" course, in the same course structure and process, develops course connotations and stories unique to each school in different schools. The course allows students to understand the white terror from the macro (historical context) and micro (civic responsibility) perspectives. The human rights issues of the period will enhance their understanding and evaluation of human rights, and it is hoped that students can understand the importance of choice and responsibility for self-growth from the experience.
Teacher Xie Wenru of the school said that Taoyuan High School has become a cooperative seed school for the cross-disciplinary aesthetic project since the 108th school year. It combines art with disciplines to activate the performing arts literacy curriculum, and then jointly develops lesson plans on human rights issues with history and civics teachers across disciplines. Develop SDGs3 health and well-being mind-body courses with English teachers, and will continue to deepen aesthetic courses across domains.
In the 112th year, the Cross-Field Aesthetics Project continues to improve the course content developed in the past to make it more suitable for different teaching scenes. At the same time, the Cross-Field Aesthetics Project is also committed to the international promotion of the courses, through foreign experts and scholars including Japan and Latvia. Other countries come to Taiwan for visits and exchanges, and scholars are also invited to visit program partner schools to gain a first-hand understanding of the current development of aesthetic education in Taiwan. In addition, we will also go to Malaysian overseas Chinese schools to directly bring cross-field aesthetic courses overseas, hoping to enrich the content of cross-field aesthetic education through the process of input and output of aesthetic cases.
The Ministry of Education stated that in the future, it will continue to use the influence of the medium and long-term aesthetic education program to share aesthetic cases at various stages of education to influence more teachers and students.
