This year, Dacheng Art Experimental Primary School in Xinpi Township, a benchmark school in Pingtung County that participated in the "Cross-disciplinary Aesthetic Education Excellence Pilot Program" organized by the National Taiwan Normal University commissioned by the Ministry of Education, grandly held the 2024 Land Art Festival on December 14. The opening event of "Playing with Nature" was launched simultaneously with a guided cycling tour. This event uses diverse artistic creation as a medium, integrates courses in interdisciplinary fields such as local culture and natural environment, and combines the co-creation of artists in residence to fully demonstrate the joint learning and development of teachers and students, community residents, and domestic and foreign artists in recent months. The event invited six groups of international artists from Taiwan, Mexico, Belgium, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Netherlands to stay on campus and in the community to create on-site creations. Wen Huiwen, founding member of Dacheng Elementary School and chairman of the Cloud Gate Dance Studio, said: "Artists allow children to stand on their shoulders, see the world farther away, and open their hearts." The creation of the art festival is based on the concept of "Blacksmithing Village" Starting from local materials, artistic expression is carried out through natural elements such as "wind, wood, water, fire, and earth", combined with humanistic observation, Bo Gong culture and game elements, to convey the concept of friendly coexistence between man and the environment, and integrate artistic creation into nature. and daily life, becoming an important part of students' learning and growth.
Professor Zhao Huiling, Department of Fine Arts, National Taiwan Normal University, host of the cross-disciplinary beauty education project, and Professor Gao Zhenfeng, Department of Visual Arts, Taipei City University, co-host, also came to support and expressed deep appreciation for the high degree of cohesion displayed by teachers, students, parents and community residents across the school. . Principal Zhong Xiufeng of Dacheng Elementary School in Pingtung County further explained: "The art festival is a means, not an end. Dacheng takes the body as the core, explores the four seasons of the world through the five senses, and uses nature as the largest classroom." The school specializes in performing arts, visual arts, Diverse methods such as sound creation and ecological experience are included in the curriculum, leading students to cultivate observation, perception, imagination and exploration in cross-field learning, while improving aesthetic literacy and appreciation ability, and practicing the core value of cross-field aesthetic education.
Pingtung County Magistrate Zhou Chunmi also attended the event and sincerely invited people from all over the country to come to Pingtung to participate in the grand event. She said that the Dadi Art Festival not only promotes multi-generational learning, but also promotes interactive cooperation between the community and Pingtung across counties, cities, and even internationally at the level of cultural exchange, injecting more possibilities into Pingtung, a "cross-domain aesthetic education experimental base" sex.
