The Ministry of Education has designated 2019 as the first year of aesthetic education in China. It has been five years since then. The second phase of the "Interdisciplinary Aesthetic Education Experimental Curriculum Development Plan for Secondary Schools and Elementary Schools" is also nearing completion, accompanying teachers and students from all over the country to create Develop a curriculum that conforms to the concept of the twelve-year national education. In order to stir up more sparks and summarize this year's implementation results, three "National Teachers Joint Conferences" will be held across Taiwan at the end of June. Among them, teachers and artists will be invited to attend the 202 Auditorium of the National Taiwan Normal University Complex on June 28. Deputy Director Li Yujuan and Section Chief Peng Baoshu came here. This meeting invited teachers from cooperative schools below secondary schools across the country, advisory committee members of various disciplines, and professors from normal training universities to review past achievements and look forward to the future.
This plan will further connect from the original high school and junior high school to the elementary school stage in 2017, complete the 12-year basic national education stage, and promote the development and practice of cross-field aesthetic courses. The cooperative school team has greatly expanded from 67 secondary schools to include 110 elementary school experimental schools, forming a research scale of 177 cooperative schools across the country. Combined with the teacher training universities and teacher trainees planned to cooperate, it is expected to cultivate cross-disciplinary Teacher talents in the field and improve the cross-field integration ability of pre-service teachers.
The main content of this National Federation of Teachers Conference is divided into three parts, covering administrative promotion, curriculum implementation, and teacher training operation experience sharing in the second semester of 2016. The topics discussed are more diverse and comprehensive. It is hoped that through the multi-management of these three parties Let’s work together to make the future of aesthetic education stronger. Each partner school will present the results of the cross-field aesthetic courses implemented in the past school year at this meeting. The administrative side and teacher training side will also share their past experience in promoting the program, allowing participating guests to communicate and learn from each other. North District: Taipei City Yongchun Senior High School uses geographical observations to allow students to understand the spatial planning of Xinyi District, reflect on the color configuration characteristics of Xinyi District, and analyze color coordination. The art class starts from color science and collects color samples from Xinyi District to establish a color ticket system, allowing students to re-plan urban colors. The course combines art and geographical observation, and closely integrates aesthetics with social practice. Yilan County Chenggong Elementary School uses the Chinese course "Miyazaki Hayao's Fountain of Imagination" to teach students about Hayao Miyazaki's creative process and the birth of his works. Then come up with creative short plays. The course combines Chinese, art, and drama, and introduces professional puppetry teachers to teach students how to use materials to actually complete the conceived characters and perform them with their own scripts.
Central District: Taichung Municipal Taichung No. 1 Senior High School started from the Chinese language class "Chibi Fu", starting from the philosophy of the article, using several common media in the field of art as output, and students came on stage to present their works and comment on them. The works created by students include ink paintings, Western paintings, and digital creations, making classic literary works more deeply rooted in the hearts of the people through artistic media. Tianwei Elementary School in Changhua County teaches students to listen to the beauty of melody through music appreciation, and to understand the definition of contrast in music beauty by drawing graphic spectrum. At the same time, in conjunction with the school-based special course "Yuyouyishu-Hanatao", aesthetic elements are acquired through the course and applied to the shape of potted plant sculptures, making the course more relevant to students' life experience.
Southern District: National Beimen High School connects the "drawing" of mathematics with the "drawing" of art. After understanding the drawing concept of a regular pentagon, it combines it into a three-dimensional regular dodecahedron model. In addition to training students in mathematical derivation and drawing Mathematics ability also improves students' cooperation through practical activities, making mathematics classes a concrete and aesthetic experience-rich course. Chiayi City Yushan Junior High School’s curriculum "Reading Classics and Representing Beauty" integrates performing arts, visual arts, and Chinese. Each class is assigned a classical Chinese idiom story to read and comprehend and adapt the script to read out the delicate diction and scene actions from the ancient text. Aesthetics, and physical exercises are performed in the performance class, costume characters are created in the visual arts class, and finally each class delivers a performance. Through the course, students can improve their text understanding and expression skills on stage, use contemporary thinking to reproduce Chinese classical style, and understand the profound meaning behind the text. The Experimental Elementary School affiliated with National Tainan University combines the fields of society, visual arts and information technology, leading students to visit historical sites and then create the "Memory of Time (Art) Wall" acrylic laser sculpture work. Educational and entertaining museum learning makes history no longer cold. The laser engraving course allows students to affirm the value of self-created works of art and turn viewers into creators. "The endless stories of the city wall" will continue to tell the beauty of art, from Now move towards the future.
