The second French delegation following the "2023 International Leading Teachers of Aesthetic Education Overseas Study and Visit Program" will set off next week! Before going abroad, we will hold empowerment lectures and information sessions to allow participating teachers to have an understanding of the French education system, cultural characteristics and itinerary planning.
On the day of the event, the project co-host Professor Huang Chunmin from the Department of Education and Institute of Curriculum and Instruction of National Taiwan Normal University opened the event. Section Chief Peng Baoshu of the Department of Teachers and Arts of the Ministry of Education also attended the meeting. The project assistant introduced the characteristics of the visited schools and compiled the participants. At the key points of the visit, the travel agency continued to explain travel precautions, reminding teachers to keep warm and moisturized, to prevent bed bugs and to be careful with their belongings. The briefing session also included three lectures. The first part was experience sharing. Teachers who had participated in 108 international visits were invited to share how to timely record when going abroad and write a return report. Principal Wang Yanxi of Xinshang Elementary School in Kaohsiung City and Qingshan Elementary School in New Taipei City. Primary and secondary school teacher Zhang Chenxin, with the theme of aesthetic perception, observed and absorbed the beauty of foreign cultures from different aspects such as campus, museums, and urban life, and reminded that while appreciating, one must not forget to take notes immediately. The second part is a cultural lecture. Associate Professor Luo Shilong from the Department of Chinese Literature at National Tsing Hua University was invited to introduce the French education system and student characteristics. He also recommended a book about French observation!
Thanks to the three teachers for their very practical lectures and the group leader’s thoughtful advice, the teachers present are looking forward to this visit. I wish all teachers who will visit France a safe and fruitful trip!
