Zhongzheng Junior High School in Keelung City──A bright light meets a shadow

Our school is the central school in the art field of Keelung City’s National Chinese Education Guidance Group. In addition to performing group affairs, it also actively introduces input and cooperation from various external resources. Our school has been the Keelung city sponsor of the Quanta Cultural and Educational Foundation's "Art in the Art Exhibition Project" for seven years. Every year, through the implementation of the Art in the Art Project, we bring art exhibitions to campus with practical actions, making it easy for teachers and students to Get closer to art. In the past few years, almost all teachers in the art field worked alone to prepare exhibitions and implement courses. The annual You Yu Art Exhibition is regarded by teachers and students as a joyful carnival-like event on campus. The children can talk about the artists and their works exhibited that year, and feel a sense of accomplishment that their works can be exhibited. Through the implementation of exhibitions and related art courses, the campus has a special art and learning atmosphere. In the past two years, interested teachers in the school have taken the initiative to propose whether courses in different fields can be combined with You Yuyi's exhibitions to design cross-field integrated courses so as to maximize the benefits of the exhibition and, most importantly, allow students to I feel that learning is meaningful and useful. Art covers a wide range and is closely related to social, economic, political, cultural, technological and other aspects of people's lives. It connects us with past human experiences and constantly responds to today's cultural phenomena, such as gender, globalization, etc. culture, or mass media and consumption. When we understand a work of art, we cannot only understand the style and form analysis of the work, but also need to understand the life of the creator and the background of his time. Only in this way can we have a comprehensive understanding. Therefore, art can play an unifying and collaborative role in integrating various disciplines, and can even break the boundaries between fields. Our school hopes to give the art field such a mission.
