Taipei City Zhishan Junior High School - Cooking with Gold and Jade Good Food

This course integrates Scouting, visual arts and Chinese language across disciplines to provide students with a diversified learning experience. The Scouting course is centered around outdoor picnics. Students will learn to use gas stoves, design a suitable menu in groups, and have actual picnic experiences, thereby improving their teamwork and outdoor living skills. In the Visual Arts section, students will design creative menus. Through font design, pattern drawing and layout, they will transform everyday menus into artistic works, thereby enhancing their aesthetic sense and creative expression. The Chinese language section emphasizes the interesting use of language. Students are required to convert ordinary dish names into gorgeous or homophonic and creative names to add fun to word games and cultivate language flexibility and expression skills. This interdisciplinary learning model not only allows students to learn outdoor skills through practice, but also cultivates their creative thinking, language sensitivity and aesthetic ability through the dual creation of art and language, thereby achieving the integration of knowledge, skills and creativity.
