Kaohsiung City Fushan Elementary School—A date with the artist

This course has an appointment with the artist ~ "Rap Miller" mainly guides fifth grade students in elementary schools to have a rich learning experience through the combination of art, music and language. The course will start from the Miller Touring Exhibition at Quanta Art Campus, allowing students to gain an in-depth understanding of the works and style of the Impressionist painter Miller. Through the guidance of art teachers, they can develop their ability to observe and interpret Miller's paintings. At the same time, the course will also be combined with the fifth-grade Chinese language course "Eternal Beauty." Students will explore the values and expressions of beauty through the appreciation of literary works. They will analyze and discuss the themes and emotions in Miller's works and write creatively.
In addition, the course is combined with the revised fifth-grade curriculum "Life Creation: Appointments with Artists" to integrate music into digital teaching to cultivate students' music creation and digital expression abilities. Students will learn music theory, explore rhythm and use digital teaching tools, choose looping, mixing and recording techniques to create their own musical works.
Finally, students will demonstrate their understanding and creation of Miller's works in the form of rap. Create lyrics in RAP format and sing them to match the music. Share your creations through the SEESAW assignment submission platform and convey your perception and thinking about beauty.
