Dalun Elementary School in Chiayi County—Super Transformation (Grade 1)

Dalun Village is located in Shuishui Township, with the Tropic of Cancer passing through it. It has a humid climate and abundant rainfall, making the soil fertile. Local residents make a living through farming. In addition to growing rice, cash crops such as tomatoes, cantaloupe, and dragon fruit are increasingly favored by farmers. In the early years, Taiwan Sugar's "Five Points" train transported raw sugar cane to the Nanjing Sugar Factory and passed through Dalun Village, so Dalun Sugarcane was built. In order to let students understand the charm of Dalun fruits and the history of Zhecheng, local fruits are combined with the "Square Box, Round Can, Ball" course in the field of mathematics and the "Local Dalun-Zecheng Sugar Paradise" revised course to design fruit transformations and fruit carriage painting activities to enhance students’ understanding of the concepts and self-relationships of local cultural products.
