Taiwan's Lantern Festival is rich and diverse, containing profound local cultural characteristics. There have always been large-scale activities such as the Northern Sky Lantern, the Southern Bee Cannon, the Eastern Handan, and the Western Turtle Begging. "Penghu" uses the "Penghu Lantern Festival Ten Thousand Turtles Prayer" as an important local event. There are many celebration activities in Penghu, and the Lantern Festival celebrations are held for at least three consecutive days. This local annual event is also the most complete common culture of turtle begging in Taiwan.
The turtle is a traditional food of the Penghu Lantern Festival and one of the offerings in the temple. This long-standing traditional custom reflects the simple and innocent humanity and reverence for the gods of the Penghu Lantern Festival. This course is designed to carry forward and continue the begging turtle cultural tradition, deepen local cultural literacy, combine art and food, and learn through the professional skills of food baking ~ the production of turtle cake molds, using "cultural power" to package products, "design power" "Bringing visual beauty to the packaging, conveying a touch of local culture, and experiencing the craftsmanship of focusing on doing everything well during the production process.
