Keelung City Keelung Maritime Affairs - Story of the Sea Part 4: The Distance of the Sea

"Using the ocean as an element and art as a connection" is the design concept of this cross-disciplinary course of our school. Through the course design, we connect marine science, the color of the sea, and the history of the sea, with science as the guide and artistic creation as the expression. History and humanity deepen local identity. It is expected that the course can achieve the goal of students understanding the local culture, understanding the characteristics of the ocean, improving the interest in life, and experiencing the charm of art. Connecting the courses of the first semester of the 108 academic year, the second semester takes local historical and cultural identity as the main development focus of the course, from marine science to entering the ocean, understanding the real distance between the sea and us, and carrying out related beach cleaning activities, and with I create works using waste materials on the beach and think about issues related to marine environmental protection. It also allows fishery students who were originally specialized in marine life and marine environment to examine the sea in front of them from the perspective of art, humanities and history, and improve more humanistic qualities.
