Fuxing Elementary School, New Taipei City—My Good Friend-My Emotional Monster

First graders start making new friends when they enter school. We start with the "Any Color Goes" picture book, using the three colors of red, blue and yellow to teach children how to make friends. We then use the "Color Monsters" picture book to guide children to recognize their own emotions, using emotion monsters such as happiness, sadness, anger, fear, and calm to help children understand themselves. We then use Grandpa Miro's little monsters to draw their own emotion monsters, allowing children's emotions to transform into their own little emotion monsters through the use of ink and wash.
