Children's lives today are different from ours. As times change, we have planned the imminent issue of climate change as the axis of the curriculum, combining it with self-awareness of interpersonal relationships and social emotions, self-management and social awareness that are closely related to the issue. Starting with ourselves, we will become aware of interpersonal relationships and the relationship between people and the environment. Lead your children to have the ability to adapt to the future and become better global citizens.
The course preparation plan will include experiential courses on emotion exploration, and teachers will also learn about it. The course started with social skills such as self-exploration and social awareness in the last semester, exploring the problems between oneself and others, and oneself and the environment, and focusing on the response, handling and attitude under the problems through problem discussion. The results of the exploration are presented in Chinese, visual arts, music and other courses. The next semester will further expand the relationship and focus on the issue of climate change. In today's world where extreme climate is becoming more and more obvious, how can children realize the irreversibility of events through their relationship with the environment, and what actions they may take to adapt to future life. In the next semester, we will combine the learning of various subjects in a more integrated way, create environmental protection action dramas, and present children’s inner ideas about the interaction between people and the environment.
In addition to the discussion courses prepared by the professional community of teachers, this course will invite Taoyuan High School Performing Arts Teacher, Ms. Xie Wenru, to give a course for teachers and students to understand themselves through taste, leading teachers and students to better themselves. We also invite schools in the inter-school alliance to participate in the course and to present the final results of the course. We hope to invite nearby schools to observe the course and join in the fun.
