Taitung County Xinsheng Junior High School─Experience Taitung: There are paintings in poems, and poems in paintings

The cross-disciplinary theme thinking of this unit starts from the unique local culture of Taitung, through the process of feeling, exploring, understanding, and experiencing, and finally presents the true appearance of Taitung in the children's minds in the form of visual art. In the process of teaching implementation, we hope to develop students' keen sensitivity to the environment, cultivate their emotions and attitudes towards their hometown, and inspire students to connect with nature.
However, with a humble coexistence and an in-depth understanding of the environment in which he grew up, he uses local elements to develop into creative materials and converts "feelings" into visual forms of multi-media creations. Literature and painting are both categories of art, and both share the commonality of feeling and aesthetics. Text uses its own particularity to weave and combine beautiful, gorgeous, and rich verses to tell the beauty of the world; painting uses the uniqueness of the creator to express the beauty of the world. The technique uses points, lines, surfaces, colors, shapes, textures, spaces, etc. to create magical and meaningful images. This time, "there are paintings within poems, and poems within paintings" is used as the main axis of the teaching activities. Poems come first, and then paintings. Paintings are not ordinary paintings, but use the six major aspects of the aesthetic experimental plan of the Ministry of Education. "Color" and "texture" (especially paper, cloth or ready-made objects) are used as the main axis and activities of the course. Students are first allowed to explore and experiment and then mix and match. Finally, the two are combined into a semi-three-dimensional multi-media work. Working together in groups, students decide on their own about colors and numbers, material selection and application methods. After selecting the content and deciding on key images, students will discuss and transform their understanding of the poem into the focus of the group's visual expression. Through continuous discussions with their peers, After a process of communication and rolling revisions, the work is completed, and finally the work is brought to the stage for display while poetry is read aloud, supplemented by body movements to express the content, to complete the expansion of students' diverse artistic experience and open independent interpretation.
