[Course Highlights] New Taipei City Fuxing Elementary School─Craft renaissance in Fuxing

Fuxing Elementary School has developed two main areas of art education over the years, one is puppetry education, and the other is maker and craft education. Puppet theater education has been developing for many years, and related courses have developed a complete curriculum structure. What can continue to develop is specialized courses in various puppet making and oral movements. Therefore, in the 110th academic year, the cross-disciplinary aesthetic team wants to Development resources are invested in maker and craft teaching, which have relatively few resources, and it is hoped that a revitalized craft education structure can be developed through the exciting integration of cross-field courses on aesthetics.

After three years of reviving the maker club course and the enlightenment of the North China University of Education’s craft teaching and craft craft classes, we want to bring back the beauty of crafts that has gradually disappeared from the mainstream art courses in primary schools. The cross-field curriculum links various subjects, with craft education as the execution orientation, and brings the spirit and methods of traditional crafts to children step by step. We will further spread the seeds of craftsmanship to New Taipei teachers by cultivating seed teacher workshops, hoping that the once glorious crafts education will bear fruit in New Taipei, from reviving craftsmanship to reviving craftsmanship in New Taipei, and inheriting the value of crafts teaching.

The cross-disciplinary aesthetics of the 110th academic year are combined with the butterfly characteristic courses that have been developed for many years. We take the Tokyo Olympics as the starting point, combined with the adaptive development issues of the graduating sixth graders, across various courses such as Mandarin, physical education, comprehensive, mathematics, art, and school-based courses. Under the connection of fields, we develop the cross-field aesthetic theme course of "I.I.-Love me, I love" in the renaissance of craftsmanship.
