【Visual ArtXMathematicsXCatering】
Mathematics and visual arts seem to be at opposite ends of the learning spectrum - absolute rationality and absolute sensibility. However, they both share the same goal of "pursuing perfection." Mathematics pursues the purest and outstanding theory, while visual art pursues the ultimate beauty. Throughout the ages, many pioneers have tried to combine the two to find the truth contained in the universe, such as Leonardo da Vinci and the Pythagoreans' pursuit of the golden ratio. In order to strengthen students' cross-domain integration abilities, our school has specially launched the "Yisu" revised elective course to enhance students' aesthetic appreciation of life, inductive thinking and logical reasoning. On this basis, when implementing the plan this semester, we try to integrate general domain knowledge concepts with higher vocational professional subjects, so that students can concretely practice the "gold" of mathematics in the professional subject practice of "plate decoration and dish matching" in the catering department. The abstract concept of "proportion" extends to different aesthetic artistic modeling visions of "composition", "proportion", "balance" and "color".
