# interviews with selected cross-field aesthetic education courses
"At the very beginning, I found that my child had no feeling for his hometown. If you ask him what is there in Xizhi? He will tell you that there is only flooding." Zhang Chenxin, a performing arts teacher at Qingshan Junior High School in New Taipei City, said that if students have no feelings about their hometown, If there is no sense of the surrounding environment in life, it will be difficult to lead him to explore and discover beauty. Therefore, teachers use strategies such as "role playing", "empathy" and "empathy" in drama to allow students to physically experience and understand the historical events that happened in their hometown in the past.
"We use many drama strategies to lead the child in this role-playing. He is not acting for the sake of acting, but engaging in empathy. Only by understanding what we want to talk about can we dig into the child's deepest feelings. Real inner feelings. ‖ During the course, students are divided into families in small groups and role-played. Combining the text form of "letters from home" in Mandarin with expression and creation, children can further enter the role.
"This course is mainly about some methods of performing arts. You can learn about the period of white terror and some thoughts about your personal feelings." The students started acting with a playful smile, and then gradually developed their skills while thinking about the topic again and again. I gained an understanding of past history and began to identify with the historical monuments of my hometown. The experience accumulated through constant thinking and empathy makes us a better person.
